FOR AGENTS & HEADLINERS
IX. PATRO (IX. FLOOR) is an unusual drum and bass event series with a hint of SUN AND BASS vibe taking place on the rooftop of a 4-star Hotel Cosmopolitan in Brno, Czechia, happening only 2 times per year, always in the summer.
Venue details
The rooftop area is divided into two wings with sheltered spaces connected by an indoor hallway, both surrounded by terraces with beautiful views of the city. One wing features a sky bar with stage area, the second one features a whirlpool and a little sauna, both accessible to anyone attending the party. There is also a "general backstage" in the rooftop-level hotel room accessible from the hallway by all the DJs / staff / plus-ones. Besides that, the headliner has his own private backstage, which is, in fact, their own hotel room.
Due to the relatively low capacity of the sheltered spaces, the amount of tickets sold is limited to 130 pieces so the place doesn't become overcrowded in case of bad weather, further promoting the VIP feeling of the whole event. The event takes place during the day, from 3PM to 10PM, the headliner playing usually the last 1hr slot (if not requested otherwise).
Other features
Having a venue on a hotel rooftop offers some other convenient opportunities as well - the hotel's premises include three restaurants to choose from, various sports facilities (fitness, bowling, squash etc), a bigger underground club space sometimes used for IX. PATRO afterparties and also a concert hall for large-scale events.
This effectively cuts on the need to transport the headliner between the airport, hotel, food place and a club - if not requested otherwise, it's just "airport - hotel", allowing the headliner to chill and enjoy the place instead of moving between places constantly.
Very close to the hotel is also a city park, swimming pool and Mendel's university arboretum (the last one unfortunately closed on weekends, but observable from the rooftop nonetheless).
Flight logistics
We prefer artists flying to Brno's own airport if possible - then it's only 20min drive to the hotel / venue. Other options are Vienna (AT), Prague (CZ) or even Bratislava (SK). In case there's a direct flight from / to Brno but it's a day earlier / later than needed, we will happily offer paying for an extra night at the hotel if the artist is okay with such a solution.
The crew
IX. PATRO crew counts five members. First three, Calli, 2Nine & Sinner, represent Liquidators, crew that has been dedicated to bringing mostly liquid & soulful artists to the city for the past nine years, presenting names like Hybrid Minds (2016 right before they absolutely blew up), Technimatic, Spectrasoul, Pola & Bryson, Etherwood, Alibi, Artificial Intelligence, LSB, Paul SG & MC Conrad, Phil Tangent, Feint, Riya, Monty, BCee, Satl, Malaky, Silence Groove and others. Fourth member is DJ Crashman, representing probably the Brno's oldest (or one of the oldest, and definitely most legendary) crew Redrum, responsible for so many local events it's literally impossible to list. And then there is our big boss, a drum and bass loving hotel manager Kru One, who made this whole event concept possible.
